NHS Sustainability Award 2018

NHS West Lancashire CCG were finalists in the Innovation Category for NHS Sustainability Awards 2018. The innovation empowers GPs and Locums in the decision-making process and manages referrals to secondary care appropriately and efficiently. It also enables patients to receive right care and at the right time.

BCS Hackathon 2018

Mike Maguire, Smita Shetty and Chris Russ made a pitch at the British Cardiovascular Society Hackathon, in Manchester in June 2018. Dr Saqib Ali (GP from Barnsley, Sean O’Mahoney (Computer Science student from Manchester Metropolitan University), Manu Sharma (from Novartis), joined their group to shape their concept. The final pitch won them a second place at the event.

NHS Sustainability Award 2017

NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group, Liverpool Community Health and Southport and Ormskirk NHS Hospitals Trust have been working together to introduce a SMS Telehealth System called FLO to help improve how care is delivered and to help citizens suffering with Heart Failure, improve their overall Health and Wellbeing.

The pilot supported by the Innovation Agency for the North-West Coast went Live last year and has been used to remotely support and monitor patients with Heart Failure.

Laing Buisson Award 2017

NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group won the prestigious award for the projects implemented to empower patients with digital and telehealth systems 7 understand and manage their health condition(s) better.
