West Lancashire residents invited to CCG AGM

RESIDENTS in West Lancashire are invited to join NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group’s (CCG) annual general meeting (AGM) next month.

The AGM will again be held virtually on Microsoft Teams on Tuesday 28 September 2021 (6-7pm) and questions are welcomed in advance.

The event will be hosted by NHS West Lancashire CCG chief finance officer Paul Kingan, who will introduce presentations on the annual reports and accounts for the CCG before answering any questions received before the event.

Dr Peter Gregory, local GP in West Lancashire and CCG chair, said: “We enjoy the opportunity to meet with our residents during the AGM to discuss the successes and challenges of the previous year, and look towards what is coming up.

“The wellbeing of all involved remains a priority and due to the uncertainty of the pandemic, we have decided to again hold the meeting online.

“While regrettable that we won’t be able to meet face-to-face, last year’s online event was a success and we look forward to seeing residents during the evening.

“We welcome questions in advance of the meeting, which will be answered on the night.”

In preparation for the meeting the CCG, which is responsible for planning and buying health services across West Lancashire, has already published the annual reports on their website.

The report sets out the progress made to develop safe, high quality health services for local people. They also describe how the NHS has worked closely with local GPs, patients, carers, local authorities and partner organisations to shape plans for the future that put patients at the very heart of services.

If you wish to attend the meeting or ask a question, email wlccg.myview@nhs.net to receive a meeting invite link.

Questions must be submitted by Friday 24 September 2021. Any questions received after this time and up to Tuesday 28 September 2021 will be answered within the minutes of the meeting and published online.

For those unable to attend, the meeting will be recorded and made available to view online.
