DR Darran Harris has issued a COVID-19 vaccination update in West Lancashire and asked for the public’s continued support as clinics in the region continue to vaccinate residents.
The latest update issued by NHS West Lancashire CCG last week showed nearly 48,000 doses had been given out in West Lancs, with 93.2 per cent of people aged 60 and over given at least a first dose.
As well as thanking staff and volunteers for their help at vaccination sites, Dr Harris also asked the public for their help by doing the following:
- Not turning up at a vaccination site without an appointment, which could cause unnecessary interruptions
- Notifying sites if you are unable to make an appointment
- Treating all staff and volunteers with courtesy and respect at all times
