NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has scored highly in several areas of the latest CCG Annual Assessment ratings covering the 2019/20 financial year.
The annual CCG assessment for 2019/20 by NHS England assesses each CCG in the country on a number of performance-based indicators against a CCG improvement and assessment framework (CCG IAF). This CCG IAF aligns key objectives and priorities as part of their aim to deliver their Five-Year Forward View. There are four available ratings; inadequate, requires improvement, good and outstanding.
Dr Peter Gregory, local GP and chair at NHS West Lancashire CCG, said: “Like other CCGs and NHS organisations we are facing unprecedented challenges. It was great to see we were recognised for some of the excellent work achieved during 2019/20 although our overall rating also highlights areas of development.
“As ever, we strive to continually improve and are always working towards exceeding the previous years’ ratings.”
The CCG was notified of an overall score of requires improvement.
