NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group (WLCCG) have recently undertaken a Request for Information exercise across GP providers to determine interest in the running of the Viran Medical Practice from December 2018. The outcome of this exercise will feed into a wider options appraisal document which will then be shared with patients of Viran Medical Centre for comment. The CCG is resolute in ensuring all patients of Viran practice are given the opportunity to comment on the options proposal before next steps are determined.
The Viran Project group, which is led by NHS commissioners are delighted to have established a Patient Engagement Sub-Group. The group is made up of eight members of the Viran Practice Patient Participation Group (PPG) and they are currently working with WLCCG on a programme of wider engagement with the patients of Viran. It is anticipated that there will be a series of patient engagement events in May 2018, during which the options proposal referenced above will be shared with patients to gather their feedback. All patients will be contacted as soon as dates and times of the events can be confirmed. In addition to attending the face to face events there will be a number of other mechanisms by which patients can provide their feedback, details of which will be shared with you when you receive your invitation to the events.
