A new cancer information and support centre in Skelmersdale is hosting an open day on Friday 29th September at the Concourse Shopping Centre.
The Macmillan centre in the Concourse opened last month and has a team of experts and trained volunteers on hand to answer questions from patients, carers, friends and families. Support for the centre is also being provided by the CCG, West Lancashire CVS and Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust cancer services.
The open day will also support Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and will run from 2pm to 4pm. Cake donations are welcome.
Caroline Flynn, Macmillan Information and Support Services Manager for West Lancashire, said: “We welcome everyone to our open day in our new home to find out more about what we offer.
“Our centre is a time out from the cancer clinic where you’ll find a listening ear and information on everything from local support groups to help for the financial problems cancer may create.”
The open day will run 2pm to 4pm on Friday 29th September in the Concourse Shopping Centre, Skelmersdale, L39 6NL.
