HEALTHCARE commissioners in West Lancashire are to hold their next governing body meeting in public at Hilldale on the Ormskirk Hospital site on Tuesday 22 November 2016 at 9.30am.
Members of the local community are welcome to observe the board meeting of NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). Questions relating to items on the agenda can also be raised by visiting the governing body page of the CCG’s website or by contacting the secretary to the board directly on 01695 588 144 by noon on Monday 21 November 2016 (www.westlancashireccg.nhs.uk/). The agenda is published on the website one week before the meeting.
There is also the opportunity for members of the public and other attendees to have an informal discussion with some of the board members following the closure of the meeting.
Greg Mitten, chief officer at West Lancs CVS and lay member (patient and public engagement) at NHS West Lancashire CCG, said:
“NHS West Lancashire CCG’s Governing Body is made up of health, social care and voluntary sector professionals who work alongside the senior management team, to ensure that the CCG offers the best possible health and social care services across the region.
“Our bi-monthly meetings provide an opportunity for the residents of West Lancashire to not only listen to what their local NHS has to say, but to also ask any questions that they may have.
“I would encourage anyone with a passion for the health and social care available within West Lancashire to come along, listen, learn and speak directly to its key decision makers.”
Following a procurement process, the CCG anticipates announcing the preferred provider(s) of the local community health services and urgent care services on 22 November 2016. During the morning, a public announcement will be made to all stakeholders, local newspaper, social media and the CCG’s website www.westlancashireccg.nhs.uk. Following this public announcement, the chair of the CCG will also verbally mention the outcome at the board meeting held later that morning in public. For any queries ahead of the announcement about this procurement, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the dedicated procurement page https://www.westlancashireccg.nhs.uk/have-your-say/community-health-services/.
The meeting will run for two hours and will be held in the Boardroom, Hilldale, Wigan Road, Ormskirk, L39 2JW. Printed copies of the papers are available on request for those without access to the internet.
