NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group is on the lookout for people who can assist with local healthcare planning to support local people.
The health body is keen to identify local patients, carers and members of the public who can share their views and experiences of certain health areas they may be interested in:
- Respiratory issues
- Children, young people and families
Anyone interested in getting involved may wish to attend the occasional planning meeting, give feedback on patient materials and attend wider events. The extent of the involvement and how they communicate is down to the individuals and can be fitted around their needs and lifestyle.
Greg Mitten, lay member for patient and public involvement on the board of NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), said: “It is really important that we seek the views of the people who have experiences and/or an interest in these health areas, so we can learn from their experiences and improve the delivery of our services.”
If you are interested in having an initial discussion with the CCG about your experiences, areas of interest and how you can get involved, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. Alternatively you can call 01695 588000 or write to: Hilldale, Wigan Road, Ormskirk, Lancashire, L39 2JW.
The CCG already has a group known as My View, which local people can sign up to in order to hear more about local news on health. If you would like to sign up to this, please send your contact details and areas of interest to firstname.lastname@example.org
