Dr Ros Bonsor has been appointed to the board of NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
Following the vacancy on the CCG’s board created by a previous board member emigrating *, Dr Bonsor, a local GP and a partner at Beacon Primary Care, has been appointed.
Dr Bonsor, who qualified as a GP in 1992 and has worked as a GP in Skelmersdale for 14 years, becomes one of the six GPs on the CCG’s board. She said:
“As a working GP I spend most of my time listening to patients’ concerns and I hope to bring these experiences with me to the CCG to ensure that patients in West Lancashire receive good quality local healthcare.”
“I am very interested in developing the relationship between the CCG and the wider NHS, voluntary sector and patients, as I firmly believe that collaborative working is the key to making a change for the better.”
Dr John Caine, chair at NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said: “We are delighted that Dr Ros Bonsor is joining us on the board.
“Ros has a wealth of experience from being a GP over the years and we will really benefit from the different insight she will bring. By local clinicians working alongside expeirenced commissioners, we achieve a strong blend of experience to help enhance the healthcare offering for our local community”.
