The local healthcare organisation, NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), is to hold its next board (governing body) meeting in public at Tanhouse Community Centre on Tuesday 23 July.
Members of the local community are welcome to attend to observe the board meetings. Questions relating to items on the agenda, which is published one week prior to the meeting, can also be raised by visiting the website or by contacting 01695 588144 by noon on Monday 22 July. There is also the opportunity for attendees to have an informal discussion with some of the board members following the closure of the meeting.
A spokesperson for NHS West Lancashire CCG, said:
“Our board meetings are held in public and we are committed, where possible, to holding these in and around the community. As a public organisation, it is vital that we meet with individuals and groups from our local community, and as such, have added in an opportunity for a brief informal gathering at the closure of the meeting for those who have attended. This gives our board members the chance to hear first hand from those living and working in West Lancashire, and listen to their views.”
This meeting is held in public. Anyone wishing to raise a question relating to an agenda item on the day must visit the website for the relevant instructions or notify the secretary directly to the governing body (01695 588144) by noon on the day before the meeting, mentioning which agenda item they wish to comment upon. This will enable the CCG to ensure that those who wish to speak can be invited to do so.
The papers for the meeting are published on the CCG website one week before the meeting, or can be obtained on request by the number above. Future locations for the CCG’s board meetings held in public will be posted on the governing body page of the organisation’s website.
The board meeting will be held at 9.30am Tuesday 23 July in Tanhouse Community Centre, Tanhouse, Skelmersdale, WN8 6AN.
The following papers have been published for the July meeting.
